This wedding was a truly personal, special one for me. Jordan & Nate & I went to Catholic school together for nearly all 12 years. Though we weren’t in the same grades, Jordan and I shared a photography class or two together and in high school, the three of us rocked it out in marching band. (Oh. Yeah, I’m a marching band nerd. And proud.) I always enjoyed watching the quirky love these two shared, so when Jordan reached out to us – before she and Nate even got engaged! – to capture her future wedding, and the journey before and after, I was elated. Jordan has her own photo business – check out her snaps, here! – so capturing memories are extra important to her. All of this culminated into the longest all-encompassing wedding film experience I’ve had to date. From engagement (not the actual proposal) to the wedding to married life in their sweet, mint green house, Jordan and Nate’s wedding film spans nearly one full year of their journey together. As if this couldn’t get any more epic,  Jordan and Nate’s wedding decor and details were inspired by the animated pixar film, Up. I couldn’t think of a better way to tell their story, in true Up fashion, then to tell it like the real journey that it was. Like I said, this will forever be one of the most special films we’ve ever captured. And it includes super 8mm film, too, which will forever be one of my favorite film elements. I can’t wait to see what life brings these two creative, old souls and I hope this is only the beginning of my capturing their sweet story!
