What do you get when you mix a singer-songwriter-guitarist bride (Toby Lightman) & a dry witted, sharp dressed man with a Jewish wedding on a warm fall day at Sweetwater Farm? A recipe for a perfect wedding including so many of our favorite wedding details, that’s what. I’m always over the moon excited to capture musicians, especially musicians on their wedding day. So naturally, when Toby asked us to capture her sweet nuptials with Pete at the venue we would be getting married at one month later – Sweetwater Farm – I was beyond stoked! Toby & Pete’s wedding was stunning in every way, from the warm weather (who cares about rain?) to the personal ceremony to the incredible lineup of toasts and musical performances all topped off with gorgeous florals from Sullivan Owen, delicious food & drinks from 12th Street Catering and sweet & savory ice cream from Little Baby’s. It’s not often that we’re capturing a wedding and wish we could stay and film (and celebrate) until the very end, but this one had us wrapped around its finger for all of the above reasons. Toby & Pete’s wedding made us that more excited for our wedding at Sweetwater one month later. I knew their film would be incredibly epic, but Toby brought it to another level when she allowed us to use tracks from her upcoming album, Every Kind of People. Not only are these songs (and all of her music) incredibly stunning and captivating, with soulful vocals and romantic melodies, but Toby wrote both of these tracks for Pete. Does it get more romantic than that?! Musicians, this is why I love them. Their love language is my kind of language. We’re so blessed to know and have captured these two. Mazel tov!
